Land Revisits
St. Paul, MN 2021
Land Revisits is an onging site-based installation of a found bed frame painted with personal dream imagery and installed multiple times at Bruce Vento Nature Sanctuary and Mounds Park. The sites lie above and below ancient sandstone cliffs, rail yards and the U-shaped bend of the river near my stomping grounds. The project incorporates soaring views above downtown St. Paul and the Mississippi, and next to Wakan Tipi sacred springs at a Dakota site in process of regeneration, led by the efforts of Phalen Creek Project.
As the project develops, so do conversations about revisitations of our own dream landscapes, while the public is invited to engage with the work at this site which has many layers of learning and meaning.
